Former Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody has returned to the Indian Premier League franchise as director of cricket.
He held the role of head coach between 2013 and 2019, with ex-England coach Trevor Bayliss replacing him in 2020.
Bayliss will continue in his post, with Moody overseeing proceedings. During his seven years in charge, Moody’s Sunrisers reached the playoff stage in five of them, winning the title in 2016 and failing to regain their crown in 2018, finishing as runners-up.

Last season, Bayliss’ first campaign came to an end after his side lost against Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier.
Moody, 55, has enjoyed a lengthy, successful coaching career since his playing days came to an end 19 years ago.
Moody was due to coach Oval Invincibles in the inaugural edition of The Hundred last year. In the IPL, he has also previously spent three seasons with Kings XI Punjab.
