The 18-year-old seamer went straight into the county’s squad for their T20 Blast clash with Essex on Sunday, but he didn’t ultimately make the side
Surrey have signed Blake Cullen on a week-long loan deal from Middlesex.
The 18-year-old seamer went straight into the county’s squad for their T20 Blast clash with Essex on Sunday, but he didn’t ultimately make the side.
Cullen, a member of England Under-19s’ setup, made his first-class debut earlier this summer, having signed his first professional contract in February.
He is the third player to be signed on a temporary deal by Surrey this summer; Alec Stewart’s squad has been decimated by injury, unavailability and England call-ups.
Worcestershire seamer Adam Finch has played two Bob Willis Trophy matches for the club, while Laurie Evans joined from Sussex initially on loan, before agreeing a permanent deal to return to the county where he first started his career.
